OVERVIEW
The Hankook Winter i*cept evo3 is a performance and high performance, winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
This model features a directional tread design. The tire’s footprint is wider and stable, which enables the tire to closely follow the road surface at all times, including on ice- and snow-covered surfaces. The tread block stability allows its constant road contact, upgrading steering responsiveness and driving stability. Faster and more precise steering responses are promoted, while structural stability is also guaranteed. This combination enables the tire’s exceptional controllability.
Exceptional winter weather traction is offered with this model. It combines its detailed directional tread design and winter compound, upgrading its cold-temperature performance. The tread’s 3D GripKontrol Sipe pattern features a 3D zigzag block shape that significantly enhances its ice, snow, and slush traction. This pattern, along with the water pipe sipe and wider grooves along the V-shaped tread increase hydroplaning resistance. Additionally, the special Winter Control Compound keeps its flexibility in freezing conditions. These improvements have earned the tire its 3PMS designation.
The Hankook Winter i*cept evo3 also optimizes its maneuvering capability. The wider shoulder blocks, along with their siping placement, enhance cornering. They provide additional biting edges in order to achieve this. On the other hand, the tread details generate friction when braking. This enables the tire to shorten its stopping distance even on ice- and snow-covered road surfaces. As a result, this combination ensures the driver’s better control over the vehicle at all times.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
